James Prentice, Senior, and Thomas Prentice, Jr. (also called Thomas Prentice 2nd),,brother, both of Cambridge; and came into Cambridge Village the same year with Captain Thomas Prentice, (probably their uncle; James married Susanna, the daughter of Captain Edward Johnson of Woburn. This is proven by the will of her father,
James was Sselectman in 1694. His son James and his widow Susanna, administered on his estate, which amounted to l286. James sold out his fathers estate for l60 in 1711, to his five sisters, all single women, and probably left the town.

There seems to be a conflict over the death date for James Prentice Sr. One date is 23 April 1672 at Woburn, Middlesex, Massachsuetts and another date is 7 March 1710 at Newton, Middlesex, Massachsuetts; I have listed the latter on his family group sheet.
