In Connecticut Cemetery & Inscriptions we find an Isaac Gillett who died in Lebanon, Columbia, New York in 21 Feb 1840, in his 91st year ,making him born about 1749; Adjoining his grave, lie buried Isaac, Hosea, Rebecca, sons and daughters of Isaac & Ruth Gillett. Ruth died 20 July 1824 age 72; Another Ruth Gillett died 10 May 1849, age 70; Ebenezer Gillett died 8 Apr 1786 age 35; These may be children of Nathaniel Gillett; It is possible that Jacob, my grandfather, the son of Nathaniel & Mercy Smith & this Isaac whose Cemetery Inscriptions are listed above- are twins as is indicated in some sources However, this is not proven..
