Source 1: The American Genealogist, Vol. 55, No. 3, pg:170 The Chaffcombe Parish records begin only in 1678, but the Biships transcripts survive for the years 1611, 1621, 1623, 1634, 1638 & 1639 & they were all signed by Rev. William Gylett. They enclude the Baptism for Elias, son. of William Gylet.
