Mary (Spelled McClellan), died when Chloe was very young and it appears that her sister Rebecka took Chloe to take care of; Marys husband, John Prentice, also died when Chloe was very young; Rebecka, the sister, had a son James Stockwell who removed to Warwick, Hampshire, Massachusetts about 1776-77; Chloe was of Warwick when she married Seth Drake; Her mother re-maried to Bartholomew Carrol & was living in Warwick, Hampshire, Mass. before 1790; Also her son James Stockwell was living in Warwick; Chole was living with her aunt Rebecca (Now Carroll) when she married to Seth in Warwick.
After extensive research, we can find no Prentice families in Warwick in the correct time frame; This adds credence to our supposition that Mary McClellen & John Prentice are Chloes parents; James Stockwell, the son of Rebecka has a 1790 Warwick, Hampshire, Mass. census; Rebecka, sister to Mary; Rebeckas (2) husband, Henry Harback died in 1775 in Sutton and Rebecka married Bartholomew Carroll and his census can also be found in the 1790 Warwick, Hampshire, Massachusetts census along with Rebeccas son James Stockwell of whom belongs to her first husband. This adds credence to the belief that Rebecca & her (3) husband & Chloe went to Warwick prior to 1786 when Chloe & Seth were married, to help the son James care for small children when his wife died. Chloe was living with her aunt Rebecca & accompanied them to Warwick and that is where she married Seth Drake;
