Luke Prentice furnished Binny data for his book on the Prentice Family; He gave important date on our John Prentice & Mary McClellan Family; James, his father, was the son of Samuel Prentice of Sutton, who was brother to our John Prentice who married Mary McClellan. He told Mr. Binney data that he remembered being told by his father James Prentice concerning his fathers uncle John Prentice. His family traditions which he passed on to Mr. Binny is all the data we have concerning the family of John Prentice & Mary McClellan. He remembered John Prentices three sons: Elkannah, Thadeus, Shuabel;
He remembered that John had at least three other children, several of which were daughters who went to Vermong. (Our Chloe, we believe is one of the daughters who went to Vermont.)
